Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

What is a wallbox?
A wallbox is a compact electric vehicle charging station mounted on a wall. Unlike a standard power outlet, a wallbox provides safe charging at higher power, significantly reducing charging time and protecting your electrical system. The Heidelberg wallboxes offered by Sharjet are manufactured in Germany and comply with international quality standards.
Is installation included?
Yes, standard installation is included within Baku city. Our professional electrical engineers handle the wallbox mounting, electrical connection, and testing. Before installation, our specialist visits your home to inspect the electrical system compatibility. For areas outside Baku, please contact us.
Which EV models are compatible?
Heidelberg wallboxes are equipped with a Type-2 connector and are compatible with virtually all electric vehicle models on the market. This includes Tesla, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Kia, BYD, NIO, Porsche, Volvo, Peugeot, Renault, and other brands. Type-2 is the European standard and covers most electric vehicles sold in Azerbaijan.
What is the difference between the Eco and Home models?
Both models offer the same charging power (4–11 kW) and cable length (7.5 m Type-2). The key difference lies in management capabilities: the Home Eco is a straightforward and reliable charging solution — plug in and charge. The Home model additionally offers remote control via mobile app, RFID access management, energy monitoring, and charging scheduling. The Eco is recommended for private homes, while the Home model is ideal for shared use or business applications.
Do you service areas outside Baku?
Currently, our main service area is Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. However, we do have the ability to serve other regions. Additional transportation costs may apply for installations outside Baku. Contact us for exact details — our team will provide a suitable solution.
How long does installation take?
Standard installation typically takes 2–4 hours. This includes mounting the wallbox on the wall, electrical connection, and testing. In some cases, such as when additional cabling or electrical panel upgrades are needed, the work may take slightly longer. Before installation, our specialist visits your home to determine the exact timeframe.
What does the warranty cover?
Heidelberg wallboxes come with a 3-year official manufacturer warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, electronic component malfunctions, and technical issues arising under normal use conditions. Physical damage, improper installation (by non-professional personnel), and natural disasters are not covered. Products installed by Sharjet also receive a separate warranty on the installation service.
When is the app launching?
The Sharjet mobile app is currently in development. The app will allow you to manage the charging process, monitor energy consumption, find nearby charging points, and make payments. Follow our Instagram page or register on our website to stay updated on the app launch date.
